Dedicated to all things me

I am a Clinical Psychology PhD Student in the School of Health in Social Sciences, at the University of Edinburgh. I am supervised by Dr Monja Knoll and Dr Melina Nicole Kyranides. My research uses a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods to understand how context influences the efficacy of adaptive behaviours in elite sport.

Research questions I'm interested in:

  • What influences the development of adaptive behaviours in Elite Sport?
  • How do inidividual circumstances shape the relationship between emotion regulation and wellbeing in Elite Sport?
  • How do retired athletes navigate adapting themselves to life after Elite Sport?
  • Risk evaluation in high performance environments - when is playing it safe the risky option?
  • To moderate or not to moderate? How to decide the research question.
